Welcome to Padiham and District Photographic Society

PLEASE NOTE: In view of the Coronavirus situation, and in light of Government advice, it is with regret that all future Club meetings are cancelled until further notice. However, we are still holding regular meetings via ZOOM.

All Club events planned on our syllabus are still being held. Please visit our website regularly for updates, where we will also be posting on-line opportunities for activities that might help to keep us in touch and enjoying our photography together.

We hold regular meetings on a Wednesday evening at Ightenleigh Social Club, Padiham, Burnley, in the Concert Room, upstairs, starting at 19:15 and finishing between 21:30 and 22:00. These meetings vary in content, from competition nights where members present their images to be judged or commented upon by independent qualified photographic judges to the viewing of external competitions in association with the L&CPU, ICPA or PGAB organisations.

Regular tutorial sessions are held on the use of post-processing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements, Camera Raw, On 1, Luminar and Aurora. We also have regular nights where local and national photographers form other clubs and associations, show their work and techniques. We also hold practical nights focusing on a particular genre, such as still life, landscape, macro, portrait, drone, photojournalism and street photography.
